This is the safety item worth knowing before anyone touches your concrete. Post-tension slabs carry steel cables under enormous tension. Cutting one blind can release that energy violently. Newer construction and some additions in West County use them.

We identify slab type before cutting, and where post-tension is present or suspected we scan and detension properly. Any contractor who says they will just start cutting and see what happens should not be on your property.

Where The Concrete Actually Goes

Clean concrete is one of the best recycling stories in construction. It gets crushed and reused as base rock, which is why disposal for clean loads is far cheaper than for mixed debris. Rebar and mesh get separated and go to metal recycling.
